Ahmad Nateghi was born in Tehran in 1958.
He graduated from fine arts faculty of Tehran University as a director.
He says that he has started photography in 50's decade when he was young and in 1978 during Islamic Revolution of Iran has photographed from 1994,started professional photography as a chief of picture office of I.R. news agency and during eight years of Imposed war, recorded many works as a famous war photographer.
Ahmad Nateghi has intended in various internal and international prizes.
His last personal exhibition in 1990 in Iran photographers house with the title of "Born in prison" had been set.
He entered to Hozeh-e-Honari in 1990 and funded international festival of child and teenager photograph.
He is also the major designer and one of the founders of "Iranian Photographers Center" and "Future Photographers  Union". is now the manager of I.P.C .He believes that social interpretative important branches of photography that has a great role in social transformations.
